Tyre Kickers – Why?

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

OK, so this is going to be one of my “ranty” posts – just so you’re warned.

I don’t get the tyre-kickers, I really can’t get my head around it. They spend hundreds of dollars, or hundreds of hours, building up credits on traffic exchanges etc. They even respond to biz opp ads and ask you loads of questions.

But when push comes to shove, they slip back into the crowd, and carry on doing whatever they were doing before. What’s the point guys? Seriously, what is the point?

You either want to improve your finances somehow, or you don’t. If you don’t then please don’t waste my time. This online business stuff, whether network marketing, affiliate marketing, web site development, whatever – people keep saying how hard it is, and how they can’t do it.

Well, I’m sorry to break this to you (actually I’m not), but it’s not hard at all. If you stick at one thing for long enough, you will see results. Kick some tyres a few times, then moving on to the next one won’t cut it.

If you’re serious, call or mail me, if you’re happy pretending you want to get out of the rat race then don’t.

From Strength To Strength

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

CTWT is going in the right direction, and no mistake. A new professional commercial was unveiled yesterday, and already it is spreading across the globe. The commercial should give people a better idea of what CTWT is about, and what it IS about may surprise a few people.

It’s NOT about the business, let’s be honest you can pretty much join a business per minute for weeks on end, and still have more options open to you. What is more, is there much difference in any of the opportunities? Trust me on this, no there isn’t.

No, where CTWT is different, what CTWT offers that many can’t, is the team. If you’ve ever tried networking before, if you’ve ever felt abandoned by sponsors, if you’re wondering where and how you should go from here… you will be pleasantly surprised by the family feeling that CTWT offers.

Now, some may wonder why I am such a big supporter of CTWT, and why I donate my time on the technical stuff. The answer is simple, I truly believe that this approach to online business is a winner. The way that people band together, the way that you see people develop new skills, and the willingness of people to step up and do what is needed for everyone’s benefit – it is truly inspiring.

Who said that trying to secure a better future had to be selfish?

Oh and for those who are interested, the new commercial can be seen on the page I’ve completed today…

More Excitement at Express HQ

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

The first steps have been taken to make Express a free service for the Internet Marketing community.

Currently free accounts are available via the partner signup page, but the main sign-up page will shortly be disconnected from the payment gateway.

This move will make the Express tools available to anyone trying to build an online business, enabling them to track their advertising, protect affiliate revenues, and organise their online activitites. All at no cost – which will be music to the ears of those with a limited budget.

Watch this space for further updates…

Really Excited

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

I am currently working on a repackaging of Express Marketer, in a way that fits the overall plans, strategies and aims. The most exciting thing is the thought of how many people are going to benefit, over time, thanks to these changes.

3 Little Piggies

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

One of the mistakes that every network marketer makes at first (and even on an ongoing basis) is to be too keen to sponsor people into their business. Not only do you run the risk of scaring people away, by being the pushy salesman, but you also run the greater risk of sponsoring everyone and anyone.

“What’s so bad about that?” I hear you ask, well, I will explain… When building anything, you need to put in the time and effort to build something that will stand the test of time. This is true of physical buildings, and just as critical for your business.

Now I’ll just digress a little at this point, I promise it will all come together again at the end… Remember the story of the 3 Little Piggies? When they set out to build houses, one used straw, one used sticks, and one use bricks. I won’t need to remind you what happened with the first two houses, and that the brick house was the one that stopped the big bad wolf in his tracks.

So, consider this, when you build your business, will you use straw, sticks or bricks? Everyone will say “yeah it’s obvious, you have to build with bricks”. The problem is, when you are being overly keen, and sponsoring anyone who will join you, are you checking what you are building with?

Straw people get blown from opportunity to opportunity, you may get some activity out of them for a week or two, but one gust from “the latest new thing” and they will be out of site in the blink of an eye.

Stick people will remain stuck doing the things they have always done. They may seem to be better longer-term prospects, and they may even be saying the right things about what needs doing, but when push comes to shove, they remain stuck in their old behaviours. Things will be “too hard”, they will tell you that “yes I did try that but it didn’t work”. Reality is, these people won’t “stick” at the things they need to.

Now finally you have your bricks; solid, reliable, made of stern stuff, and when built on layer by layer, they form a solid structure. The one caveat here is that you must apply the right mortar to hold everything together. In terms of a network marketing business, that mortar is YOU. More specifically, that mortar is the mentorship, leadership, training and support that you provide to your team.

So ask yourself this, whether you are in that period of initial enthusiasm, or a seasoned campaigner, are you building with bricks, or sticks and straw? Do you have processes in place to help you find the bricks? Do you then provide the necessary “mortar”?

Fairy tales and fables have long been a source of hidden truths and good advice, and so it is with the 3 Little Piggies.

The question is, are YOU building something that will keep the big bad wolf at bay, or will your business be nothing but a load of huff and puff?

I Almost Forgot To Write

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

It’s true, with a batch of updates being done to websites, working closely with a friend and associate to get his business off the ground, and a few other bits and pieces, I actually DID almost forget to write anything on this blog!

So probably I should say something about the changes themselves, because they relate very closely to some fundamental issues that I have been getting my head around for some months. Namely, how to conduct oneself online, and how to genuinely make a real difference.

The two sites I’ve revamped are this one, and the Avallach Technology site, I also re-pointed another personal blog to this site. The Avallach site is a “corporate” one that does mention products, but primarily it currently promotes The Express Marketer. This one – well take a look around.

No AdSense adverts, no endless list of product referral links, just a nice clean layout, and some links to free tools and information. The original version of this site, and to a certain degree the Avallach site, was created in a time when I didn’t quite “get” this industry – I didn’t know it at the time, but that’s the reality. So I set out like everyone else, pushing the business I am involved with, and trying to subsidise that with product affiliate links. This site was, effectively, a pushy salesman.

The new, cleaner, less cluttered version of this site is meant to reflect the changes that the last few months have brought about. No more “pushy salesman” (which incidentally is a not something I could actually be accused of), just honest information and a desire to help others make similar realisations to those I have made myself.

In essence, it’s a return to basics, and a return to what I had set out to achieve in the first place; only this time I am a little older, and a whole lot wiser.
